about

"Wounds" is about the struggle of anxiety and the journey in overcoming it. Being stuck in your head can be a vicious cycle, you feel alone and hopeless and can even become strangely comfortable. This year has brought a lot of fear and anxiety to many but has also been an opportunity to live in the moment and live life from a new perspective. A chance to stop and smell the roses and take a step in faith towards your happiness whether good or bad because you can’t have one without the other.

lyrics

Take it easy it's alright take it slow
In the moments where we live
Now I'm stuck inside this hole
Haven't seen the light of day
Told me not to do it but I did it anyway
Locked upstairs inside my head what's the deal
I can't tell what is fake and what is real
Time and time again it all crashes down
It's hard to feel when you're not around

It's easier said than done
I never found where I belong
A means to an end
It's out of my hands
I give my problems away
Lord save me

In the moments where we live time is flying past
Once it's gone it's lost there's no turning back
Take a second to breathe before you suffocate
The choice is yours to make so don't hesitate
It's comfortable at the bottom of this pit
I like it more than I'd like to admit
Time and time again it all crashes down
What will happen if I decide to make it out?

Counting down the breaths
Start to feel the effects
Overwhelmed by a black hole
That sucks you in and takes control
It's comfortable at the bottom of this pit

Bury the pain underneath my heart
Going insane tears me apart
Wounds will heal even though they hurt
Scars will remain they don't define your heart

It's easier said than done
I never found where I belong
A means to an end
It's out of my hands
I give my problems away
Lord save me

Time and time again it all crashes down
I was lost and now I'm found
Bury all the wounds before they rip apart
Scars remain but don't define your heart
